1. Write down your Personalized Relapse Reset plan. If and when speaking gets hard again, what will you do with renewed commitment to help make things easier again?
Write down how much more you’ll practice the things that work for you (your Personalized Stuttering Stockpile) when your stuttering returns with a vengeance.
2. Practice your Personalized Practice Plan until you give yourself a 10/10 for accuracy and 8/10 for naturalness.
3. Have three conversations using a mix of your favorite stuttering techniques. They count if you rate yourself having at least 8/10 naturalness.
(You can look on your List of Listeners Target for potential partners).
4. Complete one Challenge Situation using your favorite stuttering techniques. It’s a “challenge situation” if it’s a 4 or higher on your Speech Stress Thermometer. It counts once you rate yourself at having at least 8/10 naturalness.
5. Record a video of yourself answering:
What is your name?
What is today’s date?
Did you get what you wanted for your speech?
(Compare this one to video of yourself at the beginning of the week).
7. Rate yourself on a 10-point scale for these three questions:
How satisfied are you with your speaking abilities today on a 10-point scale? (0 = not at all, 1 = extremely unsatisfied, 10 = extremely satisfied)
How stuck do you get in your speech on a 10-point scale? (0 = not at all, 1 = very little, 10 = a lot)
How much do you struggle when you talk on a 10-point scale? (0 not at all, 1 = very little, 10 = a lot)
(Compare this to your ratings from Day 1).
